Frequently asked questions

How do I know which formwork product I need?
Match the mould to the structure you cast most, then to the number of repeats. Drains, culverts and channels use box or channel moulds; bridge work uses pier, capping beam and T-beam moulds; roadwork uses curb and barrier moulds. Tell us the unit and the quantity and we will point you to the right group.
Do you only make the products listed here?
No. The ten product lines cover the common precast units, but most orders are custom and start from a drawing — a PDF, DWG or dimensioned sketch is enough. We confirm the frame layout, insert positions and lifting points before any steel is cut.
What is the minimum order quantity?
There is no minimum order quantity. A single set is enough to start a trial run, which is how most first orders with a new customer begin.
What steel and panel thickness do you use?
Q235B or Q355B, with mill certificates available on request. Panels are 4, 5, 6 or 8 mm depending on pour pressure and the reuse life you need: a 4 mm panel gives 60-90 casts, and a 6 mm panel gives 120-180.
How long does production take?
Generally 25-40 days for a standard geometry and 45-70 days for multi-cell or non-standard work. Panels are assembled on a jig and the casting face is checked before dispatch, and every mould ships with test reports, a packing list and a loading plan for 20 ft or 40 ft containers.
