PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

About this mould

Inspection chambers are produced in large numbers and installed in tight tolerances: a round chamber has to be circular, a square one has to be square, or covers and ladders will not fit on site.

Zhongbian builds manhole moulds in round and square configurations from Q235 plate, 3–6 mm thick, with rolled or folded shells, tapered cores and bolted flanges for quick stripping.

Riser sections stack to build variable depths from one mould set, which keeps the number of tools low while covering a range of chamber depths.

KEY FEATURES

What you get in the set

  • Round and square chamber configurations
  • Rolled or folded Q235 shells, 3–6 mm
  • Tapered cores for quick stripping
  • Stackable riser sections for variable depth
  • Bolted flanges, fully welded ribs
  • Custom diameters, depths and step positions
ADVANTAGES

Why buyers choose this mould

Riser sections stack to any depth

One base, a set of risers and a cover ring cover a range of chamber depths, so a change in ground level does not mean ordering a new mould for each depth.

Cover standard matched at the top ring

The top ring is built to accept the specified frame and cover, so chambers take standard covers and sit flush with the finished surface.

Round and square on the same works

Both chamber types are fabricated on the same jigs, which keeps tolerances and finish consistent across a mixed order.

Lifting points and step inserts positioned per drawing

Lifting provisions and step insert locations are set in the mould to your spacing, so the finished chamber matches the installation method on site.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Where it works

Manhole moulds serve municipal sewer networks, storm-water systems, telecom and utility shafts, and industrial drainage chambers where precast chambers replace cast-in-place construction.

Sewer and drainage networks. Inspection chambers, manholes, gullies and access shafts in municipal sewer, storm and utility networks, where thousands of units are produced to one specification.

Industrial and yard drainage. Chambers inside plants, depots and storage yards, where covers must be flush and carry traffic loading, so the top ring has to suit the specified cover class.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you inquire

Which cover sizes do you support?
Moulds are built to your chamber drawing and cover standard, so the finished chamber accepts the specified frame and cover.
Can one mould cover several depths?
Yes — riser sections stack to build a range of depths from one base and cover set.
What is the lead time?
Standard round chambers ship in 7–10 working days; square and custom chambers take 15–25 days.
Can the mould produce chambers for different cover classes?
Yes. The top ring is made to the cover standard you specify, so the chamber accepts the required loading class. Send the cover size and class and the ring is detailed to suit.
How are access steps fixed into the cast?
Step inserts are positioned in the mould at your spacing. If you use cast in plastic steps, tell us the model and the drawing will show the insert positions and orientation.
Do you build rectangular chambers with benching?
Yes. Benching and channel shapes are formed with inserts inside the mould, sized to your invert level and pipe diameters, so the finished chamber accepts the incoming pipes without site cutting.
